Just a quick post, then I am going to catch a nap.
We picked up the cars last night and got them back to the lodge safely. It was dark and rainy and the Japanese don't use reflective additives in their road paint so it's a good thing the speed limit was low the whole way.
We went over to the other Marine Corps base today to get a base sticker for the van, and turn in some paperwork to start our housing allowance. Tim drove us back to the lodge because Mia had thrown up in the van. Then he took his car back over to get a sticker for it and then find the housing agency's office to finish the lease paper work and get the key -
our express shipment arrives tomorrow, so we have to go there at 8 oclock in the morning and wait till they show up, sometime before 6pm. The next day, they deliver the government furniture loan (including new mattresses for the kids), and after that we should be able to sleep in the new house.
Needless to say we are really looking forward to that night. Mostly so we can control the thermostat and have a washer to ourselves, but also so I can shop and cook for us.
The regular shipment doesn't arrive until the end of May. I really miss my cello.
