Tonight, as I was drawing Mia's bath, Chas asked to join her. After they were settled in the tub, I decided to 'test the waters' with a simple statement meant only to open conversation and see what is on his mind these days.
"You know, girls are different from boys," I said.
Chas cut me off before I even thought of what to say next. 'Yeah, I know. They start with different letters.'
'I didn't even think of that, but that is exactly right,' I replied.
And so, when you're four years old, that's all you really need to know about girls and boys. We'll just leave it at that.
